Are My Hormones Out Of Whack?

One of the things I would often hear from friends of mine when something just ‘felt off’ physically or emotionally was, “My hormones must be out of whack.” Problem is, they didn’t exactly know what was out of balance, which may be the case for you too!
So, I figured I would do a video helping you navigate things when you’re wondering:

“Are my hormones out of whack?”

Side note: When this video was produced, mercury wasn’t in retrograde, yet ironically it is now, so take that little joke added in here with a grain of salt!

Anyway, if you’re thinking you may be suffering from out of whack hormones, you may be experiencing the following symptoms:

  • Fatigue
  • Low libido
  • Inability to handle stress
  • Fluctuations between feeling weepy to feeling frustrated and angry
  • Headaches before your period
  • Bad PMS
  • Wonky periods (i.e. periods >6 days, irregular periods, spotting in between cycles, heavy or absent periods)
  • Difficulties falling or staying asleep
  • Unexplained weight gain (especially in your late 30’s to mid 40’s)
  • Hot flashes – especially before your period
  • Chronic stress

And this is just skimming the surface.

The reality is every time I see patients in Sexy Lady Balls (my hormone membership program), I usually focus on their digestion and their adrenal health. That’s really where it all begins. Most women I speak to don’t even realize that if you’re chronically stressed, that is a hormone imbalance, because your cortisol (your stress hormone) is out of whack and it can begin to compete with your sex hormones, namely progesterone.

And the biggest newsflash?

It’s not just about food and supplements! This is where I see practitioners fall short all the time, and it’s why so many women find themselves with a truckload of supplements, wondering why nothing is shifting. Yes, some practitioners might recommend meditation, but without ongoing support like I offer in Sexy Lady Balls, and mindset/lifestyle coaching, what good is any of that going to do?
