Ladies, let’s face it, we all hate the C-word, ammmmiiiiright? Well, I know I, for one, hate it. I’m talking about candida and in today’s video I wanted to talk to you about a supplement that you may want to consider. Ladies, this week, I’ll be talking about:
Diatomaceous earth benefits for candida
Now here’s the thing, if you heard about diatomaceous earth, you would have maybe heard about it on Dr. Oz or some YouTuber touting saying its the next hottest thing in the health industry.
But in this week’s video I want to discuss how I feel it works and a couple things you need to know about it before buying it.
So let’s start out with this:
What is diatomaceous earth anyway?
Diatomaceous earth is made from fossilized remains of tiny, fresh water organisms called diatoms. There are a plethora of uses but for human consumption, you must look for “food grade”. If not, it is not safe for human consumption.
What are diatomaceous earth’s uses?
What you’ll generally find are people saying that it’s mainly used for parasites because it chops those little buggers up, but when researching into this further, I didn’t find anything to conclusively confirm that it has sharp edges to do so. This isn’t to say that it doesn’t work but in my opinion, it’s an incredible desiccant, which is why this week I’m talking about that nasty little C-word, candida.
In addition to candida, if you are going through a detox regime, diatomaceous earth can help to reduce uncomfortable detoxification reactions much in the same way that betonite clay does.
What I’ve also discovered through my own testing with it is, is that it’s not constipating like betonite clay can be (think clay + water = cement). Regardless, when starting any supplementation, check with a qualified practitioner and start slow to introduce the body into it gradually.
And just as a side note ladies, diatomaceous earth has a rich silica content (literally over 80%!). That means incredibly radiant skin, hair and nails. So if you’re adding something to your fibre, consider adding this!
Final note on diatomaceous earth and candida
Remember, there is no silver bullet with any imbalance. Everything requires a holistic approach of tailored dietary and lifestyle changes including supplement support.
