So yesterday I had the pleasure to join the team at CTV’s The Social as their expert Nutritionist to talk about one of my favourite topics – poop (and apparently I’m now their resident “Poop Whisperer”). We got down and dirty and I provided some tips for each host to actually were brave enough to divulge their poops (brave right?).
- Pellet poop and infrequent bowel movements
- Being pregnant and experiencing constipation
- Loose bowel movements – especially during breastfeeding
- Foods to sink your floating poop

You see, if you’ve been following my work, you’ll know that I believe that bowel health is CRUCIAL to feeling sexy from the inside out. An imbalanced digestion can lead to a host of issues such as bad skin, excess weight, fatigue, migraines, joint pain, gynecological issues (PCOS, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, etc.) and thankfully news outlets like the NY Times are now talking about it’s role in mood disorders. So don’t take your poop for granted! Our digestive systems are the core of our bodies and the foundation for our health which is why proper diet is essential. Even acupuncture (which I love and practice) is amazing to help facilitate digestion, but in my opinion, only a compliment. If your diet isn’t up to par, then needles and supplements will do little good.
