Alright, so I’ll admit, at one point I had an abnormally close relationship to my air freshener. Why because LAWD knows I had a slight phobia of the stench that would ensue after a dumping at the office or worse, in the bathroom of a new love interest. I mean really, how many times are we really expected to hold it in until we feel safe to drop the motherload?
But here’s the thing, air fresheners (even the plug-in kinds) are brutally toxic and will seriously mess with our hormones and hell, I ain’t having none of that. No one messes with my hormones…no one. **Jumping up and down with my fists up**
So since I am so passionate about hormonal health, I thought I’d shed some light on the topic and provide you with:
Natural alternatives to air fresheners.
Because if you can look me straight in the face and tell me that juniper breeze is natural then I need to shake some sense into ya. Even the unscented varieties still contain toxic compounds that can wreak havoc on our systems.
So if you’re a hot mama trying to overcome PCOS, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, fibroids, etc., or heck, maybe you just want to reduce your carcinogen exposure, then you need to break up with your air freshener.
In fact here’s something that may shock you: phthlataes are linked with abnormally-developed male genitalia, poor semen quality, low testosterone levels, and other reproductive issues. Plus an MSN article found that being exposed to so-called “air fresheners” as little as once a week can increase your odds of developing asthma by as much as 71% and can contribute to an increase in pulmonary diseases.
Yup, it’s time to dump the can, rip out that floral bouquet pumping plug from your wall and go au natural. Trust me when I say your hormones will love you for it.
In the meantime, sit back and enjoy this week’s video 🙂
